Property Check Requests
Residents who will be away from their home for an extended period of time may request that the Police Department conduct periodic property checks while the residence is unoccupied.
To ensure requests can be properly entered and scheduled, all property check requests must be submitted at least three (3) business days prior to the start date of the requested property check. Requests submitted with less than three business days’ notice may not be processed in time.
Property checks are conducted as officer availability permits and should not be considered a guarantee that the property will be checked daily.
Residents are encouraged to also take common precautions while away, such as securing doors and windows, arranging for mail or package collection, and using lighting timers.
