There will be a lot of activity throughout our community and municipal complex this weekend drawing interest from both residents and visitors. Our rescheduled Opening Day Baseball & Softball parade will kick things off marching up Broad Street at 9am, then followed by ceremonies at the field & an exciting day of ball games, activities and dozens of vendors situated around the municipal complex.
Community Yard Sale Day has arrived as well! This is a great day for treasure hunters to canvass the neighborhoods in search of clothing, furniture, tools toys, and more!
With all that will be going on, we ask that everyone is mindful and driving with caution through town. Please discuss with your children bicycle safety, wearing helmets, visible clothing as it gets later . Discuss the importance of safe travel on roads, sidewalks, walking paths and at the recreation complex, walking bicycles and scooters in heavily populated areas and NOT across playgrounds or fields. With the warmer weather and when large events are taking place, there is excess traffic in town and we want everyone to enjoy the activities and return home safely. We appreciate your assistance.
