Florence Township will join towns throughout the country in celebration of the United States of America’s 250th birthday! Our annual celebration will kick off of Friday, July 10th with a performance by the Golden Eagle Community Orchestra, where patriotic themed musical numbers will be played and the 2026 celebration’s Grand Marshall will be recognized.
On Saturday, July 11th with the support of Francis A. Robbins American Legion Post 194 and Willitts Hogan Tonne American Legion Post 39, we honor all that have served our nation with a Flag Raising Ceremony held at the 5th & Oak Street Circle Veteran’s Monument at 11am.
Starting at Noon, our township’s annual patriotic celebration parade kicks off with decorated cars, trucks & floats joining honored veterans, local organizations and dignitaries along the streets of Florence Township celebration a day of joy and appreciation as our country marks its 250th year. This year’s parade will follow the Florence Route traveling from Oak Street, along Olive & Front Streets beside the Delaware River, then turning up Broad Street towards our municipal complex.
The evening’s activities invite residents and visitors to our community to the municipal complex, where activities, food vendors and live music carry us into the night where festivities are concluded with an amazing fireworks display filling the air.
