The public works department has continued clearing intersections and alley access, enabling trash collection crews to enter alleys safely. We are asking our public to support alley trash collection by:
– Clearing excess snow from all gates and immediate surroundings of your trash containers.
– Removing excess snow from trashcan lids
– Checking that all gate latches are operating properly and prior to letting pets outside, confirm that gates are closed and that latched have been secured.
– Please monitor placement of trash. If loose trash or containers are located in the driving path, collection vehicles will have difficulty maneuvering through alleys.
Please remember that there will be areas of the alleys that have remnants of snow and ice. Any ways that our residents are able to be of assistance to those collecting trash to ensure efficient and safe collection efforts is greatly appreciated.
