Citizens Advisory Committee on Landfill Matters
The Florence Township Citizens Advisory Committee was formed in 2001 to
provide a forum for dealing with questions and issues arising from the
operation of Waste Management’s Tullytown Landfill and the Burlington
County Landfill Facility in Florence and Mansfield Townships. Members of
the committee include a representative of each waste facility, our
Mayor, a Township Council member and a core of citizens who are
appointed by the governing body.
The committee tours both facilities and continually reviews important
issues that concern our residents. Some of these issues include:
landfill operations, odor reporting and control, and maintenance of
emergency contact lists and representative lists for parties responsible
for the operations at the facilities.
For more information about the Citizens Advisory Committee, please
contact the Township Clerk’s Office at (609) 499-2525.
